Resources & Technology Services was one of 60 libraries nationwide to win
the grant "Becoming an American Writer: The Life and Works of Isaac Bashevis
Singer" formed by partnership of the National Endowment for the Humanities,
The Library of America and the American Library Association.
Singer's works are featured in a display in the Miller Center lobby this month and will be the topic of four special events taking place on campus to mark the 2004 centennial celebration for master storyteller Singer, who in 1978 became the seventh American to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.

As part of the grant, Learning Resources & Technology Services received the three-volume hardcover authoritative collection "Isaac Bashevis Singer: Collected Stories" published by The Library of America in July 2004. The set and other resources are featured in the Miller Center display.
