SCSU Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education commemorates 60th anniversary of liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp
Holocaust
survivor and speaker Margo DeWilde will join the St. Cloud State University
Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education to commemorate the 60th anniversary
of liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.
DeWilde will speak of her experiences during World War II at 7 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 27, in the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center Auditorium,
MC 122. Her presentation is free and open to the public.
Originally from Holland, DeWilde was a prisoner in the medical block of
the Auschwitz camp in Poland when it was liberated from the Nazis by the
Soviet Army on Jan. 27, 1945. She now lives in Minnesota.

The center also has put together a display of resources about Auschwitz,
including books by and about survivors. The display is on Miller Center 1st
Floor West, near the Reference Desk, and will be up through January.
