The Center for Information Media undergraduate and graduate programs

St. Cloud State University ’s Center for Information Media offers graduate and undergraduate majors, minors and certificates in Information Media. Our courses are focused on teaching students how to effectively present information using the tools of the computer age, and all of our programs are geared to help you prepare for a career in the worlds of information and technology.

 

For example, if you are an undergraduate student interested in becoming a Web Manager, an Information Media major or minor would be an excellent choice. Our program can teach you more about the creative side of Web design and how to put together effective sites. Maybe you are more interested in multimedia design, creating presentations that integrate video, audio and the Web. Multimedia is another of our areas of specialty. Information Media is an excellent companion to a major or minor in computer science or education. In addition to our major and minor programs, we also offer an undergraduate Instructional Technology certificate.

 

The Center for Information Media also offers opportunities for graduate students who would like to become school library media specialists, school technology specialists or technology trainers. We are affiliated with the College of Education and offer three graduate programs: Information Technologies, Educational Media and Instructional Design and Training. We also offer graduate certificates in Instructional Technology and Design for E-Learning.
