Special Collections

The Miller Center is home to many special collection areas. Many of these are searchable using the advanced search in MnPALS, the library catalog.

University Archives and Special Collections

Official university records and information pertaining to St. Cloud State University, located on 3rd Floor West. Other special collections include:

SCSU Theses Collection

Includes SCSU theses and starred papers, located in Basement West. Papers are searchable through the MnPALS Theses Collection, a subset of MnPALS, the library catalog.

Government Document Collection

Materials that have been published by an official government office or agency,  located on 1st Floor West and Basement West. Items are searchable through the MnPALS Government Document Collection, a subset of MnPALS, the library catalog.

Multicultural Resource Center

Provides services and resources for students, faculty, staff and community members to research, teach about, and broaden their knowledge of historically excluded racial and ethnic groups of color in the United States, located on 1st Floor West.

Center for Holocaust & Genocide Education

Provides specialized resources and research on the Holocaust and other genocides, located on 2nd Floor West.

 

Joan K. Blaska Collection of Children's Books

A collection of books that includes characters with disabilities or illnesses, written for children from preschool through third grade and located within the juvenile collection on 3rd Floor West. Children's books are searchable through the MnPALS Juvenile Collection, a subset of MnPALS, the library catalog. Include the word Blaska in your search to limit to the Blaska Collection.

NASA Educator Resource Center

Materials such as brochures, booklets, photographs, posters, video tapes and CDs for use by educators and the general public, located on 1st Floor West.

Minnesota Reflections

Provides access to a growing collection of digital copies of primary historic photographs, maps, journals, letters, diaries and documents from across the state. Minnesota Reflections is a project of the Minnesota Digital Library, a statewide collaborative to provide access to the information treasures of Minnesota.
