Rapid Prototyping

Rapid Prototyping is a method of instructional development that emphasizes focus on crucial content, and getting the course on-line as quickly as possible. It depends on a critical analysis and prioritization of instructional needs. It also involves constant evaluation and revision to continually improve the instruction. For instuction involving instructional technologies the process is:

• Analyze and prioritize instructional needs
• Fill high priority needs first
• Make sure the instruction and technologies work effectively
• Then add desired bells and whistles
• Continuously improve quality by evaluating and revising
